New Toys

Today Jackson and I checked out Emma's Closet, a children's consignment shop in Germantown. Lots of cute clothes, toys, books and even maternity wear. Jackson has been needing some more interactive toys lately. He's so inquisitive, and really enjoys smaller objects (obviously not ones he can choke on), and figuring out how things work. I immediately picked up this wooden toy that screamed JACKSON! I decided to see if he'd like it by holding it in front of him while in his stroller and the reaction was priceless...the most excited suck in of air (ahhhhhhhhh) and a great big smile, followed by kicking to get to it. So, I had to buy it. DUH.

Then I was asking them about some plastic tunnels that baby's crawl through, because he really seems to like crawling into stuff...like his toy box and our entertainment center.

They were sold out of the tunnels, but the lady asked if I had seen the Fisher Price doorway. No, I had not, but when she showed me...well, I had to buy it.

It''s so neat to see him get to an age where he really interacts with things. It's wonderful to see him learning something new everyday. I almost can't wait til Christmas and see him open presents and, let's face it, play with the boxes and wrapping paper and probably none of the stuff I just "had to buy".
